Cars That Got Our Heart Racing At The Frankfurt Motor Show 2017

The Frankfurt Motor Show started on Tuesday 12th September with doors opening to the public on Saturday 16th September till 24th September at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre.

The phenomenal show takes place in Frankfurt every other year and is one of the biggest events in the automotive design calendar. The likes of Audi, Mercedes, BMW and many more are all there to launch new concept designs and production vehicles.

The focus of this year’s event is on electrification and most companies showcased solely battery-powered or hybrid vehicles. If you like seeing new technology and spectacular innovative designs then this show is not one to be missed.

Now we’re clearly no car experts but we appreciate beauty and new technology, so here are 6 cars that got our hearts racing.

Mercedes-AMG Project One

This high-performance hybrid supercar celebrated it’s world premier at the show. This stunner is basically a Formula One car for the road. It features the very latest and efficient, fully-fledged Formula One hybrid technology and was test driven by Lewis Hamilton himself.

Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus

Audi’s fastest convertible ever is here and it’ll make you green with envy. Wouldn’t ever choose this colour for a car but neon green on this bad boy sure looks good.

Ferrari Portofino

Replacing the California T this V8-powered coupe-convertible is beyond gorgeous. Red supercars just have that certain panache about them don’t you think?

Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Cabriolet

At almost six metres long this car is huge! Love the midnight blue colour, it just oozes elegance and pure class.

Mercedes-AMG GT Sedan

This car doesn’t have an official name yet so Mercedes-AMG is simply referring to the it as its “GT sedan” as a working title. Well whatever it’s name is, we love it.

Bugatti Chiron

In just 42 seconds this car reaches 249 mph –  a new world record! Love how the blue complements the car so perfectly.

There was obviously many more amazing cars at the show but these six stood out by far. What’s your dream car?
