Review: Sephora Clay Face Masks

There’s nothing quite like a relaxing pamper sesh at home. Fluffy dressing gown on, scented candles lit, favourite playlist on repeat and a few hours of pure ME TIME.

Such an occasion is always best for some face mask time and we’ve found some masks that are definitely a new fave.

Sephora has a collection of clay face masks and we picked five of them that all promise to treat your skin for different things.

First let’s talk packaging because all of the Sephora Clay Face Masks come in a very cool resealable plastic pouch. The pouch has a screw cap on and you simply squeeze the clay mask out and thanks to the little nozzle it helps you get the perfect amount out.

You can apply the mask by either using a flat foundation brush or your fingers, either way works fine and it spreads the mask evenly across your face.

A little goes a long way with these masks. It says on the packet you get four uses but you can actually get at least five.

The instructions advise you to leave the mask on for 15 minutes however if you go over five/ten minutes it makes no difference. The mask doesn’t go dry and hard on your face making it feel tight like a lot of face masks tend to do. When it comes to washing it off you’ll find that it still feels wet and you just need to rub it off.

All of the masks have a soft and creamy texture with a thick consistency. It literally just glides onto your skin evenly without any wastage. Oh, and they smell gorgeoussssss.

So what does each mask actually do?

·      Grey Clay Mask – For mattifying and balancing.

·      Purple Clay Mask – For moisturising and soothing.

·      Pink Clay Mask – For unifying and brightening.

·      Green Clay Mask – For purifying and minimising pores.

·      Blue Clay Mask – For detoxifying and oxygenating.

Final Thoughts ~

Do these clay face masks actually do what they say on the packet? Well, as soon as you wash your face your skin feels so nice and looks fresh. To see consistent results you have to use the mask at least once a week. Considering they are fairly cheap and you get multiple uses out of them we would definitely buy these clay face masks again.

However, there is no Sephora stores in the UK and apparently you can’t even get Sephora shipped to the UK. (So. Annoying.) But the good news is that the clay masks are available on eBay for £12.00.

Have you tried any of the Sephora face masks? Which ones are your favourite?

I tried these a few weeks ago and you’re spot on. Felt great right away, but I am not sure if they are actually making a difference. Guess you have to keep using them because they’re not expensive. It’s worth it, even if it’s just a temporary feeling of cleanliness.

Hi JJ, yeah they’re definitely worth it. Love how as soon as you wash your face it feels so rejuvenated. xx
